Private small group shore excursion to Rome starting by Civitavecchia Port. Your private driver guide will be waitin for you at the dockside of your cruise ship at Civitavechia Port at 8 am. Your private driver guide will handle a white board with your name written on it . From the moment you will meet the guide will start your unique day to the Eternal City of Rome. After a 90 min drive you will arrive to the City. We have some tour examples here, but you can tailor your own tour. You say what you want to see and we will design your perfect tour. You know that Rome wasn't built in a day but in only one day we will guide through the narrow streets full of history and beauty. We can do that 'cause Rome is our born City. We know every single street of Rome and we can avoid traffic (one of the worst problem of Rome). Thanks to our driver/guide's expert knowledge of the city, you will waste no time getting lost! This means you'll be able to visit and understand the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, Piazza Venezia (wedding cake monument & Mussolini's balcony), the Capitoline hill, the Palatine hill, the Circus Maximus, the Appian way, the Catacombs, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, the Spanish Steps. You will also pass by several other attractions that your guide will point out to you, such as the Via Veneto, Castle St. Angelo and its bridge, the Italian Senate, The Marble Foot and Cat Street (Roman Curiosity), Trajan's Column, Imperial Fora, Trajan's Market, The Maps of the Empire, Arch of Constantine, Marcus Aurelius's Column, Parliament and Council of Ministers, St. Nicholas in Chains, temples of Apollo, Vesta and Janus, Quirinal Palace. At some point you will stop for lunch, which can either be a leisurely meal in a local restaurant or a snack at a coffee shop (if you want to be quick!). Your driver/guide will always be ready to suggest the most convenient place in the neighborhood, and enjoys taking his visitors to quaint little restaurants where you will get an authentic atmosphere of Rome. After a relaxing roman lunch drive to the Vatican city and stop at St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the world. Take some time to admire Michelangelo's 'Pieta' and the beautiful Bernini Pulpit.

We start from Civitavecchia around at the agreed time where a luxury sedan. a limo or mini van be waiting right on the pier where the ship docks. We are authorized by Italian government to enter Civitavecchia Port and go as close as possible to gangway of cruise ships so we'll park the car as close as possible to the footbridge and, in order to be identified , our driver guide post the client's name on the vehicle's windshield. The tour takes total 9 or 10 hours, from when we start at the port until we return to the ship. The drive to Rome takes about one hour and so does the trip back to the ship. The tour of Rome we'll do, is a sort of loop. Depending on the day of the week and traffic conditions, we may start from St. Peter's Basilica and end with the Colosseum or vice versa. Saturdays and Sundays are the best days to sightsee in Rome, most of the locals leave for the week-end and there's very little traffic and you can see more.
